Culture Explorer is a location-based augmented reality app that functions like your own virtual tour guide. With this app, you will learn more about Malaysia’s unique culture and heritage by exploring interesting landmarks around the country including:• Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
• The Stadthuys, Melaka
• PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur
• Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Pulau Pinang
• Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery, Negeri Sembilan
It is built upon the real, physical world by displaying information overlays and digital contents tagged to the physical objects and locations.
Have fun by overlaying images from your gallery or camera onto the historical images to create a picture ‘taken’ at the place. You can then share the photos with your friends or fellow Culture Explorer users via social media.
Culture Explorer also offers a navigation function using Google Maps which helps to direct you to your selected heritage landmark.
